Fair Use Policy

Purpose

“Unlimited” means you do not hit a hard wall during normal, good-faith use. This policy sets reasonable safeguards so one customer’s usage does not degrade service for others or bypass tiers meant for high-scale use.

What “Unlimited” Covers

  • Unlimited events: Create and publish as many events as you need within normal use.
  • Unlimited sessions: Add agenda items, breakouts, and tracks without per-session fees.
  • Unlimited free registrations: Collect free RSVPs without per-registration fees from Quvent.

Definitions

  • Active Event: An event in Draft, Published, or Live status that is accessible to staff or attendees.
  • Session: Any scheduled agenda item within an event.
  • Free Registration: A registration with zero ticket price collected through Quvent.
  • Registration Attempt: A submitted form, successful or not.

Soft-Cap Guardrails

These are not automatic hard stops. They are review points that help us spot accidental overuse, automation errors, or misuse. If you reach a soft cap, we will contact you with options. We may temporarily rate limit high-risk activity to protect platform health while we help you adjust.

Notes

  • Soft caps reset monthly. Unused amounts do not roll over.
  • We can pre-approve higher temporary limits for launches and seasonal spikes. Contact us at least 3 business days in advance.
  • Paid tickets, streaming, storage, and other metered services are governed by plan limits and separate policies.

Quality and Integrity Standards

To keep the platform healthy, we monitor the following:

  • Invalid or disposable email rate over 7% within a 7-day window
  • Hard bounce rate over 7% within a 7-day window
  • Spam complaint rate over 0.1% within a 7-day window
  • Automation patterns that indicate fake traffic, scripted signups, or bot farms
  • Registration flooding that materially impacts system performance

If your metrics exceed these thresholds, we may throttle high-risk endpoints, add CAPTCHA, pause form submissions, or require remediation.

Prohibited Uses

  • Selling Quvent registrations as a stand-alone service without an agency or Enterprise agreement
  • Bulk list washing, lead harvesting, or mass enrichment using free registrations
  • Generating fake, incentivized, or bot-driven registrations
  • Reselling account access or pooling multiple organizations into one account to bypass plan tiers
  • Any activity that degrades service for others or attempts to evade limits

What Happens If You Exceed Soft Caps

  1. Notice: We will email the account owner with details and recommended adjustments.
  2. Collaboration: We will help you right-size usage, optimize workflows, or schedule higher capacity for a time-boxed window.
  3. Remedies: Options may include add-on packs, plan changes, temporary capacity boosts, or moving to an Enterprise plan.
  4. Protective Actions: If there is ongoing risk to the platform or clear abuse, we may apply rate limits, suspend specific features, or pause an event until resolved.

Abuse and Evasion

Deliberate evasion of this policy may result in immediate restriction or suspension to protect the platform and its users.

Changes to This Policy

We may update these terms to reflect platform improvements or risk conditions. Changes take effect when posted. We will notify account owners of material changes.

Getting Pre-Approval or Help

If you expect a spike in sessions or registrations, or you need higher limits for a launch, contact support and we will review fast-track options.
